At the Home Office, our task is simple – to keep the UK safe. Doing this means working across a huge range of projects, dealing with some of the most high-profile and important issues the country faces. If you’re talented, tenacious and forward-thinking, you’ll find yourself in good company. Join us at the heart of government, take advantage of huge opportunities and help us build an unrivalled department.

You’ll join His Majesty’s Passport Office (HMPO), who oversee the issuing of 6 million UK passports annually. HMPO also manages civil registrations, including births, civil partnerships, marriages and deaths in England and Wales.

As Behavioural Marketing Manager, you’ll be instrumental in supporting our brand and generating additional revenue, in turn helping us deliver crucial services across the country. Using a range of behavioural marketing techniques, you’ll find new, cost-effective ways to drive passport renewal, promote Priority Services and fulfil other HMPO goals.

Producing fresh, engaging marketing content for non-operational customer contact will be a key aspect of your work, including the creation of tactical promotions and the use of analysis tools to monitor campaign performance. Additionally, you’ll encourage customers to make the shift towards using online or supported channels.

To apply, you’ll need expertise in communications across a wide range of media. You’ll be able to lead on campaigns, evaluate their performance and collaborate effectively. You should also have a real passion for marketing communications and a strong knowledge of social media platforms.

Whatever your role at the Home Office, we’ll support your career plans and evolve your skills with exceptional tools, training and coaching. There’s also a wealth of opportunity to move around and work across different departments. As a Civil Service employee, you’ll be entitled to a wide range of benefits, including generous annual leave, flexible working, childcare and travel allowances, numerous staff networks and clubs, onsite facilities and a Civil Service pension.
