Job Details

Greenpeace is an international campaigning organisation with 26 offices around the world. Our vision is a greener, healthier and more peaceful planet. We bring about change by investigating, documenting and exposing the causes of environmental destruction. And we take peaceful direct action to protect our Earth and promote solutions for a green, peaceful and more equitable future.

This is a great opportunity to join us as Senior Direct Marketing Executive and use all your skills around paid social media, lead generation, project management and content creation to keep our message authentic, relevant and attention grabbing – and so attract more supporters for Greenpeace UK.

You’ll join a team developing strategies, products and tactics that encourage people to engage with a wide range of issues, including climate, energy, nature and plastics, and to take action by signing up to Greenpeace.

Working collaboratively with other fundraising, marketing and digital campaigning teams, your responsibilities will range from overseeing content for channels such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube and TikTok to managing campaign projects from start to finish and monitoring and reporting on supporter recruitment activities.

Location: Islington, London. We are currently trialling a hybrid working model to enjoy the benefits of both office based and remote working. The current expectation is for staff to work from the office in Islington at least 40% of their time. Reasonable adjustments to the trial policy as well as specific office based needs will be considered for those with long term health conditions and disabilities.

You'll have:

  • Appropriate project management experience – in order to plan and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns optimised for new supporters.
  • Experience of designing direct response, audience-led content that inspires action.
  • Experience overseeing creation of a wide range of tailored content.
  • Experience working in partnership with video producers and social media content creators, including examples of tapping into trends and the latest innovations.
  • Understanding of the principles of digital marketing, with enthusiasm for fundraising.
  • Extensive experience using Facebook Ads Manager and making data-led decisions.
  • Experience of evaluating campaigns and sharing insights with stakeholders.
  • Excellent IT skills and a proven ability to produce accurate briefs and reports, meet deadlines and maintain systems.

We give you:

You’ll be encouraged to develop both personally and professionally, taking advantage of the wide range of learning and development opportunities available to our staff. We offer great benefits such as a generous pension scheme, subsidised lunches, free yoga and a wealth of well-being resources, just to name a few. Take a look at our Work for Greenpeace pages to find out more about what it’s like to work for us and why you should apply.

Our commitment to diversity: Greenpeace UK is committed to providing equal opportunities for everyone regardless of their background. We acknowledge that people from certain backgrounds are under-represented in environmental and campaigning organisations and we’re committed to doing what we can to correct this. We are particularly keen to receive applications from people of colour; people with disabilities; people who identify as being LGBTQIA; people who have a mental health condition; and people who identify as working class now or in the past.
