Your new role
You will be responsible for developing and implementing the social and digital communications strategy to build and grow the reputation of the company in line with the corporate communications strategy. A day to day management of the company presence on social networking sites including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and engaging in dialogue. Mediating community engagement on social channels will also be a part of this. Managing a content programme and scheduling of media posts including managing weekly, monthly content and social media calendar. Manage all Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns including budget, AdWords set up, optimisation and reporting. Managing video content including script, filming, editing and publishing is required as well as ensuring all content is on-brand and consistent in terms of style, tone of voice and quality. Responsible for updating, development and enhancement of group websites and manage content management platform while also evaluating channel performance, regularly report and share insights gained. Liaise effectively with agencies, suppliers and key internal stakeholders to deliver agreed activity and have the ability to negotiate when necessary with media agencies. You will support the team on the creation and development of key external publications and events while also assisting external communications with team reporting, administration and presentations.
What you'll need to succeed
Minimum 5 years' media/press office experience with demonstrable delivery of targets. Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience. Excellent writing, editing and communications skills with an ability to effectively communicate information and ideas. Strong copy-writing and content development experience. In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and the technical background to liaise with IT. Diplomacy and discretion when managing sensitive material and relationships on social channels. Experience using CMS and also proficient in Photoshop, Canva or similar design tools, to generate in house content. Photography, videography, copywriting and design experience. Experience of PPC, Google Analytics, Web analytics, Marketing Analytics, Keyword Research, AdWords, Digital Analytics, Organic Search, Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Google AdWords. Team player with a good attention to detail and the ability to interact with internal stakeholders. Strong organisational and project management skills, with ability to multi-task, prioritise and deliver. Ability to work extended hours as required. Ability to prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment.
