Hays are delighted to be supporting a fantastic public sector organisation based in Edinburgh. The organisations are looking for an Internal Communications Manager on a permanent or 12-month FTC and offer hybrid working from their office in Edinburgh city centre and your home. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute and be part of a communications team leading a fresh approach to communications and engaging our audiences.


Your new role

In your new role as Internal communications Manager your will work with the Director of Communications to Develop and deliver an internal communications plan including the development of key internal communications content and platforms which support the Communications Strategy. You will continue to develop and build the intranet to support and improve engagement across 1900 employees. Working as part of a strong small team you will support staff across the organisation with communication advice and support. You will prepare and support high-quality content for a range of communication channels and audiences including social media, websites and intranet.


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced Internal Communications professional with experience across the communications mix. You will be a first-class writer who can create copy which engages people and can work across the communications mix including supporting media responses as part of an out of hours rota, for which an additional financial payment has been included in the salary package.

Due to the nature of the organisation the successful applicant will be required to complete a standard disclosure check.
