Your new role
Will be part of the Strategy Office, delivering on group strategy and corporate governance. Responsible for external communications including media, public affairs, marketing and branding, social and digital media.
The regional Media Specialist is critical in driving the delivery of results an this ambitious and innovative programme of communication across new and existing projects as well as other key milestones. Supporting overall delivery of the company corporate strategy and grow the reputation by leading on the development and execution of earned media plans around the Dublin Programme, other key infrastructure projects. Seeking opportunities and develop and deliver effective stories, campaigns and content successfully communicating technical subject matter to non-technical audiences. Identify and deliver on paid-for media opportunities in regional media - print and broadcast. Assist Head of PR in developing methodologies and processes to ensure consistency of approach. Work closely with the wider PR team to amplify press content on social and digital media and with key stakeholders, internally and externally. Manage projects and other tasks within the PR function as required.
What you'll need to succeed
Minimum 5 years' media/press office experience with demonstrable delivery of targets. Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience. Excellent writing, editing and communications skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong experience of the regional media landscape. Highly organised planning and time management skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work on own initiative but be a core team player. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade and influence up to senior levels within the organisation. Ability to work extended hours as required. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Comfortable working on high-profile and sometimes controversial issues and/or projects. Strong expertise in PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Ability to prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment.
