Your new role
Communications Officers work as part of the Communications and Marketing team in small account teams, supporting either the people, inclusive economy or corporate portfolio. This role is responsible for the communications and marketing of the inclusive economy portfolio, delivering well planned and evaluated communications campaigns and projects that change perceptions, attitudes and behaviours.


What you'll need to succeed
Experience in developing and delivering social media campaigns.
An ability to demonstrate the impact of these campaigns.
Experience of implementing and developing successful communications strategies and activities.
Experience of working in a political environment Experience of operating in a media environment.
Ability to provide support to and coach other members of communications team.
In-depth knowledge of local authority practices and procedures.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of equality issues and legislation.
Initiative to make decisions, referring to more senior officers for advice on policy/ resource issues.
Qualified to degree level in Marketing or Communications (or equivalent relevant workplace experience).
