Hays are delighted to be working a leading environmental charity to support in the recruitment of their next Business Development Manager. The organisation was established to tackle fuel poverty, reduce carbon emissions and support local economic development in communities across the country.

Your new role

The role of Business Development Manager will support the business in developing partnerships with local authorities, Government and housing associations and develop the Business Development strategy for the organisation.

You will:


* Lead relevant bid processes from end to end, coordinating as required and engaging with internal stakeholders
* Monitor sources of potential tender opportunities through sound pipeline management
* Develop and build excellent stakeholder relationships with key internal and external stakeholders as well as prospective customers.
* Work with the Business Development team and the Managing Director in communicating progress more widely - internally and externally
* Play a visible role as the 'public face' of the organisation as may be required, raising profile and attending events with or in place of the Business Development Manager as required


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will have:

* Previous Business Development experience
* Previous Bid and Tender writing experience
* Project management experience
* Great Stakeholder Engagement skills
* Good experience of networking and developing effective working relationships with
