Change Communication Specialist - £40,000 - £45,000, Wolverhampton
Your new role
The key purpose of this role is to deliver the planning and execution of the SaM (Simplification and Modernisation) communications strategy and plan, creating a compelling narrative that effectively bring people on our journey so they feel informed, engaged and excited by our future.
To advise and work closely with senior managers, project managers and IT colleagues on best practice for authentic communication and engagement activities, helping them to translate 'jargon' into story-telling
*Implement, measure and maintain the Group wide SaM communication strategy, using multiple channels and platforms, to inform, engage and excite colleagues to supports the programme's goals
*Lead the planning and delivery of SaM communications through creative, engaging and purposeful narrative and messaging that inspire colleagues to connect with the programmes goals and objectives
*Deliver Change events, colleague calls, townhalls, SLT meetings and away days including change culture events to drive a culture of skills improvement and learning
*Provide advice to senior managers (including the Executive Team) and programme managers by building effective and proactive relationships, offering best practice advice on Change communications, coaching them to become more confident and effective communicators themselves
*Offer advice and guidance to programme and project managers on stakeholder communications plan and messaging and support them with translating technical messaging into something simple and meaningful for colleagues
*Create and own feedback mechanisms to encourage two-way communications between the programme and employees, which complement our existing channels
What you'll need to succeed
36 months previous experience in a change communications role developing and implementing communications plans and campaigns is essential
24 months experience of generating and writing compelling and authentic content is essential
24 months experience supporting project managers and IT with communications is essential
24 months previous experience working with a wide range of stakeholders up to and including Senior stakeholders/c-suite level is essential
24 months previous experience in B2B communications is desirable
12 months previous experience working within Financial Services is desirable
Experience in SharePoint and Office 365 is highly desirable
