This Manchester based promotion agency are looking for a new Head of Business Development - Creative Digital & Tech to join the organisation on a full-time permanent basis. This position will lead the business development team who operate across the creative, digital and tech sector.
Your new role
In your new role you will be expected to operate at a senior level with international C-level contacts in the public and private sectors, servicing a complex marketplace and stakeholder group. You will lead the business development function for the creative, digital and tech sector (CDT), driving the attraction of businesses to
Greater Manchester whilst promoting the expansion of existing businesses to help deliver new investment and job creation. You will work in an integrated way with other CDT services within the organisation, to encourage sector engagement and identify growth opportunities for wider Group services. You will develop clear and concise strategic marketing campaigns to promote Greater Manchester's CDT offer and deliver a channel of high-quality leads that align with the inward investment success targets, on time and to budget.
In your new role you will Identify and focus on a target list of national and international companies. Through your consultative sales approach, you will build long-term, strategic relationships with key-decision makers and stakeholders across a range of global organisations; to raise profile and create/ identify opportunities for new investment. In your new role you will be expected to take full control over all aspects of the overseas development, from design through to implementation and management.
What you'll need to succeed
As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will take full ownership of managing a number of international market development programmes; so it is essential for a successful candidate to demonstrate a proven track record in inward investment and overseas marketing. You will be a conscientious leader who has previous experience of managing individuals as part of a team in a complex environment. You will be comfortable communicating across a range of public and private partner organisations and be a persuasive and credible in your approach through well-developed negotiating and presentation skills. This organisation is looking for someone with an extensive understanding of the sales cycle from research and planning through to closing and aftercare. A successful candidate will be a team player, who has experience of working collaboratively with others to deliver results.
Due to the nature of this role, a successful candidate will be required to travel internationally - 6-8 weeks per annum.
