This Manchester based inward investment agency are looking for a Project Manager to be part of a small, fast-paced, and high-impact team, responsible for the operational workings of the Manchester India Partnership (MIP).


Your new role
In your new role you will support the Executive Director across all areas of activities including the facilitation of board meetings, key relationship and stakeholder management and event activities that contribute to the successful delivery of the Manchester India Partnership. You will manage the preparation, collation and production of documents and materials and be responsible for the preparation of high-quality draft papers and briefing notes with minimum supervision. In your new job you will manage the running of the Manchester India Business Group, supporting the Executive Director with memberships and attend meetings, conferences and events when required in order to keep up to date with current market trends, opportunities, and new policy.

You will work alongside the Social Media Coordinator to develop a thorough social media strategy to ensure that all India Partnership activities, achievements, and milestones are communicated effectively across Twitter and LinkedIn. You will arrange and organise senior level visits to Manchester and overseas in partnership with organisations across the region whilst supporting the Executive Director to manage and develop relationships with key UK India partners.


What you'll need to succeed
This organisation is looking for an individual with previous Project Management experience who has a wider understanding of international business, within a highly commercial environment. Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will have superior presentation and communication skills as they will be expected to represent the MIP in partnership meetings and presentations. This organisation is looking for a collaborative, agile and attentive team player, with experience of working with and through others to deliver projects effectively and efficiently.

A successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the Microsoft office suits (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) You will display knowledge of the Indian economy, policy and business and show a good understanding of the UK-India bilateral economic relationship. A graduation/Post-graduation in Economics, International Business, Political Science and Management with the local Greater Manchester city-region economy and commercial ecosystem is desirable. Fresh Graduates with a strong academic record may apply.
