Location: Birmingham – hybrid working available

Salary: up to £70,000 per annum depending on experience

Benefits: Private Medical + Pension + Eligible Annual Bonus up to 15%

About the facility:

The Harborne Hospital - part of HCA Healthcare UK is a brand new £100million, purpose built 50 bed, multi-speciality private hospital opening in Birmingham in 2023. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital will have the deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery. The Harborne Hospital is the 4th NHS partnership within this network, partnering with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to form an integral part of the HCA UK Joint Ventures team. Initially your primary focus will be developing and delivering the marketing plan for The Harborne Hospital and associated regional centres, including campaigns, digital and PR. This will be an autonomous role on a day-to-day basis, whilst also working within the decision-making process of the broader marketing function.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provide key regional market and audience insights.

  • Ensure that the hospitals service lines are appropriately recognised and promoted as part of the overall service line marketing strategy and plan.

  • Understand the regional goals, challenges and opportunities, and champion these within the business.

  • Ensure that marketing plans and budgets are in place to support local business objectives – whether this is via the overall HCA UK marketing & comms plan, or site specific campaigns and activities. Where appropriate, oversee the implementation of these plans.

  • Manage The Harborne Hospital and HCA UK brand tightly.

  • Keep abreast of competitor activity, and ensure that appropriate strategies are in place in response.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of key suppliers and agencies, ensuring all KPIs are achieved.

  • Support the wider marketing team when required on a project basis.

 Skills and experience

  • Degree in marketing/communications

  • B2B/B2C marketing experience, ideally within a healthcare environment

  • Significant experience operating at Senior Marketing Manager level

  • Knowledge of the healthcare sector

  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

Hybrid working available: 3 days in the office and 2 days from home- Variable depending on needs of the business.
