Product Development Manager - Leading Food Manufacturing business - Competitive Salary

Your new company
Greencore is a leading producer of convenience foods who supply a wide range of chilled, frozen and ambient foods to all of the UKs food retailers, with everything from cooking sauces and pickles to sandwiches and ready meals. The Wisbech site specifically manufacture ready meals for some of the biggest UK retailers, and are now in a position to take on a Product Development Manager to join their team.


Your new role
As a newly appointed Product Development Manager you will lead customer and category Product Development activity to achieve Greencore's great food and commercial targets, deliver right first time launches and act as the customers first point of contact. Delivering category reviews and customer presentations for 12-18 month development plans, and working closely with the Future Food Team, Insight and Category teams. You will have responsibility for all approval of development vs customer briefs and ensure Greencore key performance indicators are inline with critical dates. You will have a strong focus on building and maintaining customer relationships acting as the dedicated contact to provide accurate and consistent communication, identifying and resolving any issues.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have a degree in a specialism in consumer service or previous experience in Product Development. You will be experienced in delivering high quality, sustainable commercial products, and must have a strong ability to lead multiple projects.
It is essential that you have a good understanding of food manufacturing principles demonstrated through feasibility of proposals.
