SEO Executive role working with a higher education organisation on a flexible and hybrid working arrangement.

Your new company
An opportunity has arisen to join a Higher Education institution based in Preston. Due to a period of change and expansion this organisation is looking for a Web Product Manager to join their team, on a permanent fulltime basis.

Your new role
To provide SEO, Technical SEO and some CRO services to ensure the best ranking and conversion potential for the web site. The primary focus of the role is to seek strategies to improve organic web traffic, quality as well as volume. They will work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager, to support paid and earned activities, and Web Content Manage to continually improve the site and on page technical content. Responsible for digital personas and working with the Market Research team to assist with personalisation and pushing key calls to action.

What you'll need to succeed
The SEO Executive will utilise industry insight, reporting, analysis and insight tools including Google/Adobe Analytics, Brightedge, Ahrefs, Deepcrawl and other tools. You will perform keyword research to optimise existing content and uncover new opportunities to increase traffic to top level, subject and course pages. Provide recommendations in conjunction with elements and structure of websites and web pages in line with organisation strategy and SEO goals.

You will work with the Digital Marketing Manager to assist in the development and execution of communication/content strategies via social communities. Maintain schema mark up for rich (and other search engine) snippets and where relevant, voice mark-up for often used queries. Utilise conversion rate optimisation (CRO) techniques to help improve customer journeys assisting with conversion. You will consider SEO for countries outside the UK, especially in the University's strength geographies. Creating short briefs for Development to implement experiments and measure success using A/B testing tools and for content requests supporting SEO performance. You will report on project development, timelines and results as required.
