Project Communications Manager / Hybrid/ Up to 40k / Public Sector / Greater Manchester

Your new company

Your new organisation is a public sector Local authority based in greater Manchester. Due to a new regeneration project, a post has opened for a Project Communication Manager to join the organisation on a fixed term interim basis until March 2023.


Your new role

Your prime responsibilities will be to manage all communications and engagement activity for the continued regeneration and development of a local shopping centre. The post-holder will design and deliver communications, messaging, and campaigns, acting as a subject matter expert and key point of contact through successful stakeholder management, leading projects and producing content for both internal and external communication outputs across a range of media platforms. In your new role you will manage reactive issues, crisis and emergencies, and design proactive solutions to communication problems. Through effective management you will ensure that all projects are delivered on time and to budget. You will use customer insight to shape effective messaging and activity, and use evaluation techniques to monitor success of activity and return on investment on all spends


What you'll need to succeed

You will be able demonstrate a previous track record of Stakeholder management and show competency in delivering content across various marketing platforms. You will have experience of developing and managing the delivery of communication campaigns and activity in a large, complex organization. You will have a proven track record of managing and supporting communications of major change programs and be able to demonstrate evidence of successful resource and financial management, including evidence of managing project budgets. You will have confident in handling sensitive and confidential information and making judgements about how best to utilise that information to manage the organisations reputation. The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise messaging and explain complex information.
