Communications Project Support Officer (Global Health)
Full time, temp until Dec 2022 (potential to go perm)
(£32,306 - £39,027 ) Leeds - Hybrid (1 day required onsite per week)

The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Academy Executive is looking for Communications Project Officer to provide support to an ambitious Communications, Involvement and Development team. You will be supporting global health projects by researching low or poor income countries. Senior stakeholder management is essential as you will be engaging with universities across the country so Higher Education or NHS communications background would be beneficial. A key element of this role is to take day-to-day responsibility for managing programmes and campaigns that support both the NIHR and NIHR Academy Executive's communications strategies. The successful applicant will be an excellent communicator with the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively across the organisation and with colleagues and stakeholders to manage a diverse workload of projects.

This is a new role and you will be involved in the coordination and production of a wide range of digital communications and marketing materials including web copy, newsletters, social media content and case studies in support of our global health programmes whilst ensuring equity, diversity and inclusion in communications and stakeholder engagement. Activities include:


* Working with the NIHR Academy Communications Manager and Global Health Programme Managers to develop and implement the communications and stakeholder engagement strategy for NIHR Academy global health portfolio of programmes
* Working with the NIHR Head of Global Health Communications and Stakeholder Engagement and global health communications colleagues to develop and implement a communications and stakeholder engagement plan for the cross NIHR global health portfolio of programmes
* Working with NIHR Academy colleagues to deliver our communications plan.


You will have experience of working with a variety of communications software packages, design and content management systems including e-marketing, webinar platforms and enterprise social media management platforms.

The NIHR Academy Executive is hosted by the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust (LTHT) and delivers the work of the NIHR Academy, leading on policy, strategy and delivery in respect of academic training in England and working closely with other NIHR centres and the Science Research and Evidence (SRE) Directorate at the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).
