Marketing Coordinator (Corporate Communications)
Grade: 5 - £28,981 - £35,223
Looking to interview 16th and 17th August for 14 months.
To start at the beginning of October. Hours of work and working pattern: 37 hour week (9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday)

We're looking for a creative corporate communications coordinator who will help build Northumbria's internal reputation through integrated, innovative staff and student communications campaigns and activities. You will have an inclusive approach to developing staff and student communications, employing a blend of traditional tools and channels alongside digital, social media and other available routes to reach both audiences.

You will have direct experience in an internal communications role. You'll be able to write in a clear, concise, and grammatically correct manner and able adapt your style in order to engage with a wide variety of audiences. You'll work with our Student Communications Manager and Assistant Director (Corporate Communications) to support delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement of corporate level communications activities for staff and students. This includes supporting the planning, drafting, editing, delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement of corporate level communication content and activity for staff and students delivering integrated communications campaigns and activity across multiple channels. You will have a strong news gathering ethos and awareness of upcoming national agendas affecting the higher education sector to feed into student and staff communications and support the team to position the university to comment on current issues.

You'll have experience of delivering events for different audience groups, media monitoring and reporting and experience of supporting the corporate response to negative or crisis situations.


Project Communications Officer Grade: 5 - £28,981 - £35,223

The Project Communications Officer will play a specific lead role in developing and managing overall communications to drive and support student and staff level communications for the Transformation Programme and associated change programmes and projects, and support University Strategy operational communications aligned to the corporate level communications plan. You will build relationships with key stakeholders across the University to support the development of a consistent, impactful narrative to help distil complex messages in line with the University brand, making it accessible, understandable, and relevant to relevant internal and, where applicable, external audience groups.

The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills and be comfortable in providing high-quality written communications using a range of channels and platforms. This role is based in the Transformation Management Team however will work closely with the Corporate Communications and Reputation Management team.
