This is an exciting post to lead delivery of communications and events for the new London Anchor Institutions’ Network (LAIN).

Reporting into the London Recovery Programme Board since 2021, London’s Anchor Institutions’ Network (LAIN) brings together some of the capital’s biggest organisations, who have pledged to work collaboratively to support the city’s recovery from the pandemic, with a focus on creating opportunities for people, businesses and places most impacted by the crisis. You will lead the delivery of the internal and external communications strategy for the network, including management of the network’s website. They will have experience delivering communications campaigns and events in a high-profile or political environment. They will have strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working with press and comms leads across multiple organisations to align messaging and produce digital, social media and press content. The post-holder will work across City Hall and externally to engage stakeholders, including businesses, trade unions, civil society and Local Authorities in the agenda, identify engaging success stories to highlight the network’s impact, and develop and deliver the programme’s contribution to the London Recovery Programme.

Proficiency with content design software, email marketing software and web management systems would be a considerable asset.

This role will be based at London Fire Brigade’s Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL).  GLA staff are hybrid working in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.

This a part time role working 18.5 hours per week and the role holder will need to work a minimum of three days across the week. There is flexibility on the work pattern which will be discussed further at interview stage.
