Fantastic, and fast-paced opportunity for a Communications Business Partner to join a university in Oxford

Communications Business Partner
Higher Education
£36,000-39,000 per anum (dependant on experience)
Hybrid working 2 days per week in the office

I am working with a leading higher education organisation based in Oxford. They are looking for a Communications Business Partner to join their public affairs team to connect, build, drive and deliver communications plans across a variety of directorates at the university.


* Provide leadership and advice to the University on both internal and external communications
* Identifying key audiences and stakeholders, working up key messages and recommending appropriate communications approaches to ensure communications aims and objectives are achieved
* Build the profile and reputation of the University amongst the media, students, staff and alumni, as well as organising key events to effectively engage the University's stakeholders
* Draft and deliver communications strategies for various issues and themes, leading and overseeing the delivery of activity in conjunction with communications leads
* Work across the Communications team and wider Marketing, and Engagement Directorate , identifying issues of interest to the media, local decision makers, societies and other external stakeholders
* Identifying PR opportunities and ensuring the effective production of news stories promoting activities. Liaising with industry partners and other external stakeholders to maximise press and publicity opportunities.
* Provide regular updates to Directorates and service leads on communications delivery, keeping them aware of how their activities and supporting communications

Personal Profile:

* A communications professional, skilled in internal, external communications, public affairs and media relations
* Skilled in developing strategic communications plans, as well as delivery and assessment of communications campaigns
* Excellent stakeholder management, and a proactive attitude to engaging with stakeholders
* Excellent online and offline communications skills, across video, content management, social media, and internal communications channels
