Business Development Team Lead job in Ardwick, £25,000-£30,000 for a leading childrenswear brand

Your new company

In 1982, two Manchester lads started selling childrenswear from a small base now they are pioneering the use of recycled polyester yarn in its ground breaking Eco range that has saved 40 million plastic bottles from going to landfill to winning The Queens Award for Sustainable Development.

Your new role

You will identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and services, creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities, and building relationships with new clients. Maintaining and developing relationships with current clients, pitching sales and products to new and existing clients, attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends.

You will manage a team of two and report to the business development manager and business development director, you will create sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them, possessing a strong understanding of the company's products, the competition in the industry and positioning.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have the ability to sell ideas, products and services and be confident in building relation with B2C customers via cold calling, have excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask. You will have strong leadership qualities to lead a small team, excellent customer service skills and technical skills to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on the client's requirements. You will have solid IT skills and knowledge of necessary software applications including CRM, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other statistical analysis software. A solid understanding of business and marketing principles is important.

What you'll get in return
