Your new company

An opportunity has arisen to join a Higher Education institution based in Manchester City centre. Due to a period of change and expansion this organisation is looking for an Events and stakeholder lead to join their small dynamic team, on a permanent fulltime basis.

Your new role

As a part of the Commercial Team, the purpose of the role is to manage the logistical delivery of organisations Events, working closely with the already existing team to manage the effective delivery of commercial events and activities on behalf of the organisation and the Association's business clients. As a strategic part of this role, you will lead on external relations in the detailed support of third-party clients and the management of the Annual Conference Exhibition sales. In your new role you will oversee the project management of conferences on behalf of the institution and take the lead on liaising with external clients/colleagues to ascertain precise event requirements and scope proposals which fit requirements by set deadlines

What you'll need to succeed

A successful candidate will proactively coordinate speakers and invited guests providing support, before, during and after an event to ensure an excellent stakeholder experience. You will manage events on time, within budget and ensure that they meet expectations and agreed contracts. You will have a proven track record of managing and coordinating multiple events at once and anticipating and planning for different scenarios. A successful candidate will have direct events experience with demonstratable customer/client facing skills. You will be Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision when necessary and display excellent organisational and time management capabilities. You will show experience of working effectively with modern databases and systems and be able to use range of computer applications (word, excel, powerpoint, outlook) due to the nature of the role, a successful candidate must show availability and willingness to work outside of usual office hours.
