Role Info:

Head of Marketing & Communications – Digital, Traditional and Ways Yet to be Defined! Based mainly in Bournemouth HQ (minimum 3-4 days per week office based) with some Homeworking £60,000 – £80,000 Plus Pension, Discounted travel, Opportunity to visit some fantastic locations Product / Service: Award-Winning Travel Homeworking Company Growth: 4000% Since inception. 375% in the last 5 years. Record sales in January 2022 and all without a head of marketing!

About You:

You need to have proven experience creating results from marketing campaigns. But, you also need to be excellent at influencing others to do great marketing. For us, it’s more about helping our homeworkers (franchisees) create marketing campaigns and increase their sales, rather than lots of above the line marketing for our brand.

You’ll need to be a gifted communicator who knows how to find the right people to say the right thing to in the right way at the right time…and then create a team who can implement the strategy.

A travel background is really important to understand the products, the seasons, the trade and the needs of the customers. A direct sales background would help you in this role, but not essential if you’ve got a great record of success.

A year from now you will have had a great year if you move the needle on these three metrics:

+ Increase average booking value + Created a suite of marketing tools for franchisees to make sales + Increased number of booking per travel consultant each month + 25% increase in repeat booking rate

The Role:

You’ll be creating strategy and leading a team of marketing professionals whose objective is to increase sales from our travel consultants. You will be working alongside the head of sales to achieve this.

You’ll be creating marketing tools, collateral, resources, training and relationships specifically designed to create sales through our Travel Consultants (agents) rather than direct (in addition to the company). Influencing others to increase sales and providing tools to do this is a key part of the role.

In addition you’ll be responsible for developing the brand as we expand the business into new markets including retail sales.

We already have a proven and successful model which you’ll be expected to improve upon. ?Digital, social, video and email will be a key part of the tools you’ll be expected to understand, but also a wider marketing mix including more traditional media, PR and communications.

Here is where we see you need experience to kick ass at this role:

+ A great knowledge of the travel industry, products and how to sell travel to agents and consumers. + Understanding people, behaviours and messaging that creates actions + Being able to create strategies which deliver to targets + Creating compelling social media campaigns that get talked about + Inspiring greatness from a team + Being able to plan creative campaigns which link video, graphics, social, print and word of mouth + Understanding the latest pay per click and social media marketing techniques so that you know if someone else is good, bad or indifferent. + Be able to create a killer website strategy for engagement, SEO and lead generation. + Know how to create funnels which generate high ROI and know how to plug holes in existing funnels or processes. + Be able to dive into analytics, find quick wins, improvements and be able to share to stakeholders why actions are being taken and where improvements have been made.
