English Heritage cares for over 400 historic monuments, buildings and places such as Stonehenge, Tintagel Castle, Dover Castle, Hadrian's Wall, Kenwood House, Marble Hill, Battle Abbey and Clifford's Tower. Through these and through our amazing collection of historic artefacts, we bring the story of England to life for over 10 million visitors each year.

This is a senior management role, so we are looking for an individual with great leadership ability; someone who will inspire and empower the Visitor Marketing Team to help us achieve our challenging visitor number and admission income targets in the years to come. You'll develop and drive the visitor marketing strategy which will deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns and that will position us at the cutting edge as a leading heritage visitor attraction operator.
As you'll work closely with colleagues across the Marketing Department and with teams across the Charity you'll need to be someone who genuinely thrives in a collaborative environment.

You'll be based from a location in England which can be negotiated. However you will be expected to travel to London, Swindon, York and Bristol regularly, to the offices where the marketing teams for North and South sites are based, and to some of our most-visited pay-for-entry historic sites

English Heritage exists to help people understand, value, care for and enjoy England's unique heritage.
Officially known as the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission for England, we are an executive Non-Departmental Public Body sponsored by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).
We are probably best known for looking after the National Heritage Collection of historic sites and monuments and the guardianship of over 500,000 objects.
The Collection ranges from prehistoric stone circles to a 1960s nuclear bunker and includes Stonehenge and Hadrian's Wall, Charles Darwin's diaries and the Duke of Wellington's boots. Taken together, over 400 properties in our care help to tell the story of England.
