The Head of Global Brand and Marketing Communication is a critical role in the UKHO’s delivery of its long-term strategic vision by defining, shaping and influencing the reputation of the UKHO and generating demand for commercial revenue through the ADMIRALTY brand and marketing strategy impacting directly the UKHO’s revenue and profit.
As a subject matter expert, you will lead on the strategic brand direction and development. You will also manage and develop the Brand and Marketing team and its resources. One of your first tasks will be to undertake a review of the structure, size & capabilities of the team, recommending any changes that will support the delivery of the remit of the team.
What we are looking for
The successful candidate will have substantial experience of leading a marketing/marketing communications function, managing a multifunctional and sizeable team, external agencies and marketing budget in a complex commercial environment. You will need a strong understanding of the fundamentals of marketing leadership, including traditional media channels, search, social, research, insight, attribution and brand strategy and deep understanding for data and performance marketing. Your approach will be to want to always do things in a data led/data rich way.
