Senior UX Designer - £60k Per Annum - Hybrid working (Cardiff/London)

Your new role

You will be responsible for Cchampioning users throughout the design process,developing a deep understanding of user needs. You will share insights with your team and build empathy for users across the organisation. You will plan usability testing sessions and experiment and create concept designs for new products or features, taking them from discovery to implementation

You will be expected to run workshops, ideate and prototype quickly, produce detailed design deliverables, and work alongside product managers and developers to ship your designs into production.Collaboration with other designers is key within the organisation to maintain design standards, develop a consistent visual language and contribute to an existing design systems. You will works closely with developers to integrity check code and ensure consistent, high-quality, accessible UI implementation. Building good working relationships with product and technology staff at all levels is vital to ensure strategic alignment and effective working processes.


What you'll need to succeed

You will have a deep understanding of design principles and industry trends and be an expert at defining, clarifying and solving complex problems, in complicated domains.You'll have hands-on experience planning, conducting and analysing user research and usability testing.You will be able to contribute to the improvement of User Experience processes within the team and across the business.

You'll be able to demonstrate work process methodology including user workflows, wireframes, design exploration and prototypes.You'll have excellent attention to detail and can produce pixel perfect high-fidelity designs and prototypes. You are someone who can clearly articulate your design decisions and explain the 'why'. You can iterate your work based on testing and data analysis. You are comfortable with and excited by a fast-paced and often changing environment, eager to solve new problems, critical thinker prepared to challenge the status quo and learn new skills in order to succeed. You can use design and prototyping software to expert level (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Axure). A Bachelors or Masters degree in a design subject (Psychology, UX, HCI, Product Design, Design, Graphic Design, etc discipline) is preferred, but not required. You will be given a salary of £60,000 Per Annum along with an attractive benefits package and you will be able to from home where you are not required to be in either the Cardiff or London office (depending on your location).
