This Public sector organisation is a higher education institution based In Manchester city centre. This institution is looking for a Press and Communications executive to join their faculty of health department on a permanent full time basis.

Your new role

In your new role as Press and Communications executive you will help tell stories through a range of channels to build the organisations external reputation locally, nationally and internationally. Through media relations, stakeholder engagement and developing content, you will deliver impactful communications to highlight the organisations strengths and drive external engagement. in your new job you will build relationships with key journalists through various media platforms whilst working closely alongside the press team to create monthly reports to ensure all work is properly evaluated. This job will require you to also support internal communications within the Faculty of Health and Education, this may include, writing and collating a monthly newsletter, copywriting, and adapting content produced for external audiences to deliver to internal audiences.

What you'll need to succeed

This organisation is looking for an individual with previous experience of working across a broad range of broadcast, print and online media, you will have excellent interpersonal, and team working skills and have a proven track record of working alongside internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful projects. A successful candidate will have experience monitoring social media activity and be confident in interpreting complex information and data to help develop key messages. In this job you must demonstrate previous experience of dealing with a range of people at different seniority levels of an organisation. A successful candidate will ensure all written copy is done quickly and concisely, this will include reports, newsletters and podcast for publications and online audiences.
