Your new company is a leading science magazine that is thriving due to its phenomenal presence that has led to immense popularity. They produce online learning platforms that host paid for science courses, allowing people to dig into the most popular topics in science. The fast-growing company is currently seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to join on a permanent basis.

Your new role
The Digital Marketing Manager is a core role and discipline within the group and therefore reports directly to the Head of Campaign Marketing. We are seeking a talented individual to take ownership, optimise and develop the Subscriptions sales & marketing strategy for digital marketing channels. You will proactively identify new growth initiatives to test and champion on the development of best practice to ensure optimisation of activities across digital marketing - overseeing delivery and identifying any areas for improvement.

Main Responsibilities

* Champion Digital Best practice by optimising internal inventory and driving stakeholder engagement within the company. Proactively engaging with internal teams prioritising Best Practice throughout all marketing initiatives.
* To cost effectively manage and regularly report on the digital subscription marketing budget ensuring that agreed financial and non-financial targets are met.
* To deliver digital marketing channel sales volume, revenue and contribution targets for the magazine
* Work closely with tech and marketing team to deliver most valuable audiences to the next stage of the customer journey made up of Lead Generation; Conversion; Welcome and Nursery and Save and Win-back.
* To monitor, recommend and lead digital marketing in improving online conversions. Undertaking friction point audits and performance reviews, providing feedback to ensure continual improved functionality to support delivery of corporate objective to increase web acquisition.

What you'll need to succeed

* 2-3+ years digital experience (agency or client-side)
* A natural flare with writing and communicating (fluency in English is essential)
* A clear and demonstrable understanding of digital marketing strategies and tactics, including Google Adwords and Google Webmaster tools
* Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
* Knowledge of Google Analytics, HootSuite and other search and social media monitoring tools
* Digital marketing experience: examples of marketing work undertaken in e-commerce site(s) that has seen a clear and marked uplift in sales
* Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
* Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
* Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
* Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
* Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
* Demonstrate experience where you have successfully guided projects in the above areas (Role Responsibilities)
