My client is a leading global law firm operating in over thirty countries. Their business development, marketing and communication teams contribute to the setting and achievement of the firm’s business objectives. The successful candidate will have relevant experience in the legal sector, specifically in content marketing to support business growth.

Role purpose

  • Support the development of content marketing campaigns in collaboration with partners, PSLs and BD/Marketing teams across the firm
  • Support the lawyers and marketing experts to create and maintain consistent client-facing content and ensure that the website content is written to maximise impact and search engine optimisation and create the best client experience through well-planned and written marketing communications
  • The client produces a large number and variety of content marketing campaigns. The firm also creates a lot of written legal, marketing, and product and service description content. They do not currently have a content manager to support the management of their campaigns and ensure that content is consistent, well written and impactful in order to optimise the client experience and maximise the effectiveness of their marketing.

Role and responsibilities
Content development

  • Lead the commissioning and development of editorial content in consultation with the senior campaigns and content marketing manager
  • Work with subject matter experts from across the firm to manage the production of content ensuring that their insights and perspectives are translated into high-impact editorial materials that engage the firm’s target audiences
  • Work with the senior campaigns and content marketing manager to create and maintain a global campaigns and content calendar

Editing and writing

  • Support subject matter experts on the development and writing of their legal updates and marketing content
  • Edit content to maintain the tone of voice and appropriate format for the channel
  • Create new content such as case studies and articles from seminars and other existing content; commissioning external writers as appropriate
  • Work with the digital marketing team to maintain the website homepage and other significant content channels on the public website
  • Manage and approve content for marketing platforms and channels, ensuring it meets agreed editorial standards as well as technical requirements for tagging and search engine optimisation
  • Ensure content on marketing platforms and channels is updated by content owners and removed according to a schedule

Key requirements

  • Relevant communications and marketing experience, likely to be within a law firm or other professional services organisation, notably marketing to a business audience
  • Excellent communication skills, excellent editorial and strong writing skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines, juggle multiple projects and deliver under pressure
  • Expertise in content marketing concepts and their application in an international B2B context
  • Ability to juggle multiple requests, prioritise and act quickly to meet tight deadlines
  • Organised and able to work self-sufficiently
  • Understands requirements for tagging and search engine optimisation
  • Can interact effectively and be persuasive and diplomatic with people at all levels
