A Strategic Communications Officer role within the Public sector

Your new company
Your new organisation This Manchester based organisation is a public governing body that work closely with doctors, employers, educators, and patients to achieve high standards of care and safety and improve medical education and practice across the UK. Due to internal promotions this organisation is currently looking to fill two strategic communications officers on 18-month fixed term contracts.

Your new role
In your new role as Strategic Communications Officer your primary responsibility will be to Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of communications and lead engagement activity for projects, campaigns, and events for clients across the organisation. You will manage a variety of communication projects whilst ensuring all content is engaging and accessible. In this role you will support the Strategic Communications Manager to build and maintain positive relationships across the organisation. You will ensure that all communication projects and campaigns are properly evaluated which will contribute to the successful planning and delivery of future projects.

What you'll need to succeed
This organisation is looking for an individual with previous experience in Communications, you will have excellent interpersonal, and team working skills and have a proven track record of working alongside internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful projects. To succeed, you will be able to confidently demonstrate strong IT skills with the ability to use Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. A successful candidate will be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately present information and deliver updates on projects confidently whilst planning and moderating group discussions.
