An Events And Protocol Assistant role based in Manchester City Centre

An exciting job opportunity has arisen for you to join the protocol team on a permanent basis. This Events and protocol assistant role is a great opportunity for you to work in a strategic capacity to assist with networking processes whilst building on current relationships and creating new links between key stakeholders and external contacts

Your new role

You will support the Protocol team to ensure a best-in-class guest experience during sporting occasions and special events. Your prime responsibilities will involve providing administrative support prior to events, this may include collating guest lists and producing itineraries. You will support the smooth running of events by providing briefing documents, maintaining a staff attendance database, and assisting with ticket distribution. Where necessary, you will provide onsite support at an event acting as a runner, aiding with the purchase, and compiling of gifts for guests. You will assist with the VIP clients and database, inputting the relevant data to ensure all information is kept up to date.

What you'll need to succeed

This organisation is looking for an individual with previous experience in Communications, Events and Administration to join their current protocol team. To be a successful you will be an articulate individual with strong interpersonal skills and confident in communicating across all levels. You must have excellent English written and verbal communication skills to support their VIP clients. This organisation is looking for a highly organised individual with strong administrative skills specifically within an IT capacity. As well as a helpful, 'can-do attitude you will show competencies in working individually and as part of a wider team and be able to demonstrate a previous track record of working well in a fast-paced environment. Hospitality, Front of House, and VIP experience are preferred
