Reports to: Head of Event

Position Start Date: ASAP

Salary: 35,000 to 55,000

Benefits: Pension contribution, 4 days week for 5 days pay, only 3 days in the office, possible access to EMI Share Options Scheme, frequent travel abroad.

The Role

We are now looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic, and commercially astute Marketing Manager to grow quickly, professionally and to become a key and recognizable face of the company within the industry.

The purpose of this role is to help produce and deliver the marketing strategy promoting globally one of our flagship events to delegates, exhibitors and members of the press. You will be a fluent English speaker working across the marketing mix, with a real flair to create innovative and effective campaign as well as contributing to develop the brand and identity of the show.

Key tasks

  • Work with the head of the event to develop event strategy and objectives.
  • Produce an annual marketing plan including the creation and design of various campaigns (both brand and sales) that meet the show’s long-term objectives as set by the Head of the event.
  • Research and action initiatives to gain more market share and client acquisition within the travel industry.
  • Spearhead initiatives to meet objectives based on lead generation, customer advocacy, and more.
  • Drive marketing influenced pipeline and generate Marketing Qualified leads (MQLs) through onsite activations and support of the sales team.
  • Choose the best marketing mix (social media, mailing, emailing, PR, etc.) to deliver the objectives of the show.
  • Drive the social media content strategy of the show across multi channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, linked, YouTube, etc.)
  • Analyze, track, and report on Marketing campaigns ROI based on predetermined pipeline, revenue, and MQL metrics using CRM, email marketing, project management, and similar system
  • Coordinate the content gathering and production of all collateral required for all key milestones such as; show brochure, booking forms, show surveys, show guides, sponsorship documents, rate cards etc.
  • Build relationships with show customers and sponsors and partners on a one-to-one basis
  • Interact with key decisions makers and account holders in the industry
  • Work with in-house designer to ensure event display accurately represents the event brand. Ensure well prepared briefs are written for campaigns and other projects for effective briefing of the creative team.
  • Testing and editing show App, liaising with digital team, and creative team when appropriate.
  • Seek appropriate brands to develop brand partnerships and/or sponsorship opportunities with.
  • Responsible for ordering and tracking event inventory include collateral, giveaways, etc

Your Skills & Experience;

  • You have a proven track record in creating and implementing smart and uber effective marketing campaigns.
  • You have a strong understanding of CRM tools and seek strong ROI in everything that you do.
  • A relevant marketing qualification or lots of experience in the field
  • Strategic thinking around public relations and brand management in the media
  • Able to demonstrate a solid understanding of our brand
  • Breadth of thinking across multiple channels
  • Good understanding of marketing in the travel sector
  • Must be able to thrive under pressure and to relish the challenge of achieving new goals
  • Must be driven by personally achieving targets
  • Experience across all channels of the marketing mix
  • Good computer literacy, particularly with Word, Power point, Excel, Gmail and Database management systems
