Job Details

Southwark College and Lewisham College, part of NCG (a leading national provider of education and training), are looking to recruit a Communications and Content Coordinator.

The successful candidate will work with the Marketing team to deliver high-quality communications assets in order to engage with audiences and increase conversion.

You will work within a dynamic and supportive marketing team to ensure communications for our London brands are relevant and responsive for each target market.

You will possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal and have experience of creating content and developing working relationships with external stakeholders.

Southwark College and Lewisham College are large further education colleges in London, offering an exciting range of work-focused courses that give our students the skills and experience they need to develop their employment potential. We provide a friendly, supportive learning environment where talent is nurtured.

We’re proud of our success in achieving excellent results and producing knowledgeable and successful students, but we’re built on our staff and our success is down to recruiting and retaining the best possible talent. Helping our young people and adults to fulfil their potential and often transform their lives through education requires dedication, patience and the ability to think differently. That’s why we set out to recruit staff with a genuine passion for further education and a commitment to ensuring all students achieve their potential, whatever barriers they need to overcome.

We’d love you to join the team if you want to make a real difference to the lives of students, local employers and the wider community. In return, we’ll provide you with a range of development opportunities, benefits and support to help you fulfil your role.

Jobs at Southwark College

Southwark College is built on its staff. Our student community is diverse, with 79% of students not having English as their first language and many facing additional challenges. Helping our young people and adults to fulfil their potential and often transform their lives through education requires dedication, patience and the ability to think differently – but it is also a unique privilege.

As we enter an exciting new phase in our evolution – with the rebranding of the former Lewisham Southwark College as two sister colleges at the heart of their local communities – we’re looking to recruit the best of the best. If you have a passion for education and its power to improve lives, and think you have what it takes to inspire young people and adults, we’d love to hear from you.

In return for your commitment, we offer an excellent package of benefits including:

  • Generous annual leave entitlement (47 days for lecturers, 35 for heads of academic departments, 30 for managers and business support staff, excluding the eight statutory holidays each year)
  • Two pension schemes: Teachers’ Pension Scheme for teaching staff and Local Government Pension Scheme for business support staff
  • Good maternity, paternity, parental, special leave and sick leave policies
  • Employee assistance programme and health insurance policy through Benenden
  • Free eye examinations
  • Interest-free loans for travel
  • Cycle scheme
  • Discounted treatments at T-ien, our on-campus beauty salon
  • Credit Union on request
