New role working within a Housing Association as their PR & Social Media specialist in Manchester.

Your new organisation
One of the largest housing associations across the North West are looking for a PR & Social Media specialist to join their wider marketing team on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role to support the organisation with their external communications and public relations.

Your new role
In your new role as a PR & Social Media specialist you will oversee and monitor all social media accounts for the organisation and take a lead in managing the organisations public image. Responsibilities will include fielding day to day press and coordinating responses on behalf of the organisation which may include liaising with senior stakeholders within the business. You'll also be responsible for highlighting news stories from the organisation, drafting media angles and pitching these to various media outlets. You will also be responsible for managing the organisations social media accounts, sharing any sector specific news and legislation, and responding to any social media enquiries and traction you receive.

What you'll need to succeed
This housing association is looking for an experienced communications expert who has experience in a PR and social media capacity. You will be able demonstrate a previous track record of acting as a key liaison between the organisation and the media and show competency in delivering content across various marketing platforms. Keeping up to date with the housing sector will allow you to deliver campaigns based on current affairs. This organisation is ideally looking for someone with experience in social housing although those who show interest in working within this sector will also be considered.
