Head of Communications, 4-5 months contract, Location, Norfolk, rate up to 350 per day

Your new company
I am proud to be working in partnership with an outstanding University who are looking to appoint a Head of Communications to join their team. It will be 4-5 months and you will be required to work Monday to Friday. The role is to work with the Associate Director of Content and Communications, you will be required to develop a transformative content and communications strategy, drawing out key messages and shaping tactics to get the messages to the relevant audiences and developing their key channels.

Your new role
As the Head of Communications you will support the university's strategic objectives by driving the development and delivery of communications strategies, campaigns, and projects to grow the reputation of the university globally and increase satisfaction among key audiences. Your key responsibility will be to manage the university's corporate communications, and lead communications across all our audiences (including students, alumni, other stakeholders, and civic engagement). Other key areas of responsibility include supporting staff communications led by HR.


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have experience working in a similar senior level corporate communications role to develop strategies and lead programmes of activity across diverse audience groups. You will have proven track record of media relations experience, dealing with both proactive and crisis communications. You will have proven and demonstrable experience of digital engagement and channels. You will have significant experience of leading motivating a substantial multi-disciplinary team in a fast-moving sector including staff development, performance management and change management. You will be highly personable and sensitive to the communication needs of others.
