Job Purpose
We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Executive to support a forward-thinking marketing team that raises the profile of the QEII Centre and creates engagement amongst its clients and employees. Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager you will have specific responsibility for using a variety of digital marketing tools, maintaining our presence on social media and for supporting the project management of marketing campaigns including those relating to internal marketing and communications. You will work closely with the teams throughout the Centre as well as collaborating with several agencies to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of campaigns.
Key Tasks
Management and overview of the QEII website with external technical support, to include review of competitor website analysis and recommendations
Support and develop digital marketing campaigns, where required liaising with external suppliers to produce printed and digital collateral
Produce content for social networking accounts and regularly monitor the success of each
Providing creative input into ad hoc design requirements
Working with the PR agency on the design and content of the quarterly newsletter, liaising with QEII participants on copy and news stories.
Designing and producing a bi-monthly newsletter for HR
Produce written content for key marketing and communication activities as required, including blogs, newsletters, award entries etc.
Acting as brand guardian, safeguarding the brand internally and externally
Responsible for photography logistics (both staff and events)
Raising purchase orders and ensuring all marketing invoices are passed to the Marketing & Communications Manager for sign off
Project manage the development of the stand, merchandise and collateral at trade shows and exhibitions – with support of Marketing & Communications Manager
Project manage in house client events liaising with all relevant departments
Build relationships with suppliers and monitor projects in progress with them
Prepare content for e-mail campaigns and distribute through email marketing system
Carry out post campaign analysis to monitor success of each aspect of campaign
First point of contact for QEII staff marketing requests such as providing images and logos
Ensure that the brand is correctly used and implemented across all channels from social media to newsletters and email marketing campaigns
Person Specification
Experience
Previous marketing experience preferred
Strong organisational skills, ability to plan, organise and deliver work to meet deadlines and quality standards
Good communication skills, both written and verbal with excellent attention to detail
Ability to analyse information and make informed decisions
Proactively and enthusiastically approaches tasks
Ability to build relationships and collaborate across departments
Previous experience in, or an understanding of, the Meetings & Events Industry is preferred but not essential
Previous experience managing company social media accounts preferred
Creative and innovative approach to tasks
Technical
Working knowledge of website content management systems (ideally WordPress) and email marketing tools
Working knowledge of Adobe design packages preferred
Working knowledge of social media account management, including insights and social media content calendars
A high standard of computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite)
