Job Summary

Revlon have an exciting new role looking after our hair brands, in particular Creme of Nature.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, ambitious self-starter with an ability to work in a fast-moving environment & the capacity to think creatively. You will work closely with the Head of Marketing in leading and driving the 3YR Brand Plan and implementing the in year activation to drive the UK business, achieving sales and profit targets.

Job Responsibilities

Brand Communications

  • To develop and execute agreed brand communication plans for each annual planning cycle in line with global guidelines
  • To develop and execute an agreed communication strategy and plan within agreed budgets, through collaboration with the media, PR & trade marketing agencies
  • To work closely with merchandising colleagues to ensure brand objectives are met via excellence in-store display execution.

3 year NPD and portfolio strategy

  • To define and recommend the 3 year NPD and portfolio strategy for the UK markets and to quantify and validate this strategy (including product lifecycle, discons, one-time-onlys (OTOs)
  • To input into the consumption and shipment forecast
  • To manage the input required for Stagegate deliverables
  • To recommend RSP strategy for NPD, and existing lines, setting benchmarks vs competitors
  • To work closely with Supply Chain ensuring that all NPD projects for brand/categories meet brand and business objectives, are delivered complete to a high standard and on time

Insight Development

  • To lead insight development into the brand and category performance (sell in, consumption focus)
  • To lead regular analysis of the competitive environment for both brand and retailer, clearly identifying and communicating insights to the wider team and ensuring appropriate action is taken in response (Product, Pricing, Comms activity, Investment)
  • To oversee deep dive initiatives to better identify the appropriate consumer target and understand key how best to engage them, ensuring the outputs are reflected in the subsequent plans

Customer

· To deliver content and sell in stories for key UK customer meetings in conjunction with the Sales team.

· To work with sales colleagues to actively engage key retailers and distributors, gaining buy in product and communication plans

· In collaboration with sales colleagues, work with key retailers on account specific consumer engagement programmes

Financials

· To manage defined elements of the Brand marketing budget(s) to ensure that investment decisions proposed and implemented are rigorously assessed and reviewed in line with current business processes

· To participate in Budget Setting process for UK, together with Financial Controller, Head of Marketing and Sales team (A&M investment and consumption forecasting focus)

Relationship management

· To establish strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders within the London office, including broader marketing team, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Insights and Sales

· To establish strong working relationship with key internal stakeholders based at international locations, Global marketing, Regional marketing, R&D and Legal teams

· To establish strong working relationships with external agencies

Skills and Experience Required

  • Hair category experience is preferred
  • Trade / Customer marketing experience
  • Brand communications experience across all channels including advertising & PR
  • Understanding and experience of activation digital campaigns
  • Management of external comms agencies
  • Experience Managing and developing a direct report
  • Budgetary management responsibility
  • Can use numerical skills to help prioritise the size of opportunities and to make sound marketing and financial recommendations based on strong analysis
  • Able to work with and influence a broad group of people at different levels across many organisations
  • Able to Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the principals of marketing. Can articulate a brand positioning statement, and translate this into specific elements of the marketing mix, including product range proposals, pricing strategy, merchandising plans, and promotional policy
  • Fully understands the principles of promotional strategies and in-store communication
  • Fully understands the role of marketing in a consumer focused business
  • Media literate including full digital mix
