We have disrupted the Smart Locker market with our world leading Smart Collect app, which brings “Click and Collect” functionality to corporate IT request portals for the first time and has resulted in Velocity now being the global partner of choice for many of the world’s leading IT service providers and global brands.

The Digital Content Creator Role:

Being a technology disruptor means we have to ensure we communicate, educate and excite our customers, sales targets and partners about the benefits, features and innovation of the Velocity Smart solutions and services.

We are now looking for an exceptional content and social media genius to take our business to the next level of communication and market awareness. You will thrive on using text, images and video to produce compelling engaging content.

Reporting directly to the board directors you will be an excellent communicator with a track record of designing and delivering engaging corporate and social media content.
You need to be a content focussed self-starter who wants to take the next big challenge in their career, by taking on the role, which can literally grow as big as your ambition and talent wants it to become.

We are looking for our content creator to be the ‘voice of Velocity’ and you will be involved in a wide range of content creation including website design and content, social media posts, blogs, brochures, email templates, search marketing, document templates, branding, user guides and any other areas which need to have the distinctive “Velocity style” you will help to create.

You will have extensive writing experience combined with mastery of a number of graphics tools, which you will use to create compelling content from text, graphics through to video, both internally, for our customers and on a range of social media platforms, including Facebook and Linkedin.

You will be a person who is, constantly learning, brimming with new ideas and truly passionate about the power of creating a strong brand identity. You will be more than a little obsessed about every detail from fonts, colour, to images to the use of simple effective language to create incredible impact.

Responsibilities:

Brand.

+ Define corporate brand guidelines
+ Develop corporate document and slide templates and email templates

Corporate/Customer.

+ Review and edit customer facing operational content
+ Develop product corporate brochures
+ Planning and design of corporate events and sales expos
+ Collation of Customer Feedback data to form Customer Satisfaction reports for publishing

Web/Social.

+ Create a Content and Social Media strategy and plan
+ Work with Velocity PR agency on press blogs, article and research
+ Research and develop SEO key word tower content
+ Research market, competitors and industry-related topics and trends
+ Writing engaging blog posts, content pieces and web pages to drive traffic and generate leads.
+ Monitor and report on engagement performance.
+ Conduct simple keyword research and use knowledge of SEO to increase web traffic.

About You:

Tools:

+ Hubspot Marketing (Preferred)
+ Significant experience with Adobe products including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Premier and Adobe Photoshop
+ Microsoft Office suite (Powerpoint, Word, Excel)
+ Vyond (Desirable)
+ MailChimp (Desirable)
+ Typeform or Survey Monkey (Desirable)

General:

+ Relevant Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field.
+ Excellent written communication skills.
+ Experience working with Content Management Systems Knowledge & Skills.
+ Experience as a Digital Content Creator/Social Media Manager or similar.
+ Knowledge of social media marketing and brand development .
+ The ability to manage your time and handle multiple deadlines and priorities.
+ You must be a hands-on self-starter, with a passion and drive to take on greater responsibility and grow your role.
+ You must be confident in your abilities and be able to present and pitch your ideas to the management team.
+ The role will have the flexibility of being based at your home and our London office. You need to be a self-starter and capable of managing your time and workload.
