Immediate start on this Maternity cover role expected to last 7 months with the possibility of extension.

You will be working for a UK leading sustainable building materials and constructions solutions business. It is from 9-5pm Monday - Friday at £140 a day (LTD) or £122 a day PAYE, with great flexibility working from home and going into the office once every few weeks.

Your new role
We are looking for a friendly, proactive, and creative member of the team to hit the ground running as a maternity cover in a busy communications and corporate affairs team.
The role holder will be responsible for delivering effective internal & external communications to a range of audiences through various channels including web and different social media platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook. The role is to inform, influence and engage external stakeholders, getting the right information to the right people in the right way - and support the wider mission of the Communication & Corporate Affairs team.
You will be responsible for creating daily Social Media content, managing approvals, proof reading and scheduling the content. You will be responsible for managing the social media inbox dealing with comments and responses to the posts and actioning to the correct departments any queries or complaints. Every 6 weeks you will be on a rota for 24 hour press office emergency call duty.
You will also run the news and media section of the company website updating content to share in Wordpress.

What you will need to succeed
You will have to have strong skills on daily scheduling and working with social media platforms. You will have the capability to work on your own and along side your manager, this position is very busy so being pro-active and reactive is essential. Excellent attention to detail is a must as you will be responding to complaints, releasing your own press releases and some crisis communication management.
It is advantageous to have experience using ORLO & trade media agencies but not essential.
