PURPOSE OF POST:

To plan and oversee the organisation’s marketing activities and campaigns. You will be the one to ensure that all marketing operations are successful in meeting the goals set by management.

KEY OBJECTIVES:

  • Ensure all marketing activity relates directly to the organisational strategy and will have a measurable impact on achieving our ambitions.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues in the business to achieve company goals.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of campaigns, using insight and monitoring tools.
  • Develop strong working relationships across the organisation, particularly with the Executive and Senior Leadership Team and Principal Consultants.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED BY JOB HOLDER:

  • At least 3 years’ experience as marketing officer/executive or similar, in a B2B/technical sector
  • Solid knowledge of marketing techniques and principles
  • Good understanding of market research techniques, statistical and data analysis methods
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and marketing CRM (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Experience in management of social media channels
  • Experience of web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics)
  • Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Creativity and commercial awareness
  • A team player with a customer-oriented approach
  • BSc/BA in marketing, business administration or relevant field or appropriate CIM qualification

MAIN DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Update and implement marketing plans
  • Organise and attend marketing activities / events to raise brand awareness
  • Plan advertising and promotional campaigns for products or services on a variety of media (social, print etc.)
  • Maintain the Industry Forum website and digital communications
  • Provide market intelligence and competitor analysis.
  • Develop and maintain Industry Forum marketing materials.
  • Ensure that a strong IF visual brand is created and conveyed at all times.
  • Manage contact and account data in SalesForce
  • Liaise with stakeholders to promote success of activities and enhance the company’s presence
  • See all ventures through to completion and evaluate their success using various metrics

  • Support development of web based services delivery
  • Support and help development of publications sales
  • Prepare content for the publication of marketing material and oversee distribution
  • Support the commercial team in undertaking research to identify opportunities for promotion and growth into new sectors
  • Own and develop all marketing processes within the business, including the measurement and reporting of all Key Performance Indicators.
  • Collaborate with managers and feed into the preparation of budgets and monitoring of marketing costs
  • Support events and publications as standalone revenue streams
  • Maintains the department's budget and ensures all marketing activities are cost-effective
  • Adheres to and implements all company policies and procedures
