Head of Marketing - Full time, FTC (12 months)
We are looking for a Head of Marketing to join the Marketing and External Relations (M&ER) team at Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) to cover a period of maternity leave (12 months).
The Head of Marketing role is a key role within the University. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and advice and lead the delivery of the University’s Marketing campaigns and projects.

As Head of Marketing you will be responsible for developing and managing the delivery of sector leading student recruitment marketing campaigns, as well as brand and reputation activities. You will oversee the marketing provision for online, web and digital platforms and ensure all marketing activity builds the profile of the University and its six academic Schools with its key stakeholders.
You will lead on the delivery of a relevant, dynamic marketing strategy for ENU including full budget management responsibility. You will lead and engage the marketing team, managing all activity through (including media, creative and content) and ensuring campaign KPIs are tracked and met, meanwhile supporting team members to achieve their personal objectives.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for a degree qualified (or equivalent) marketing professional with demonstrable experience in a senior marketing role. Experience will include developing marketing strategies and tactics and ensuring their successful implementation as well as hands on experience, and deep working knowledge of, digital channels, platforms and communications. Delivery of web-based projects within this is also beneficial, including knowledge of CMS systems (Sitecore), search and landing page optimisation and onsite user experience.
Experience managing complex and varied marketing projects and teams, coupled with expertise managing change are paramount for this role.
We are looking for someone with experience working closely and effectively with internal and external stakeholders and senior management teams, who is able to engage with audiences internally and externally. You will have a track record of delivering and reporting on objectives, both for in-depth analysis within a marketing team and for sharing clearly for ‘non-marketing’ professionals. Management and successful delivery on multiple projects, juggling priorities and deadlines is also key.
We are looking for someone with a short notice / immediate start as we require someone in post before the end of July.
The team are currently working remotely but will be based on campus (Sighthill) in the near future and may be required to travel to all campuses when required.

- Salary: £51,034- £59,135 (Grade 7)
