Your new role

To deliver corporate and internal communications to ensure effective two-way staff communication and raise the profile of the company within key stakeholder groups across the online platform. In addition to enhancement of staff incentives to increase engagement throughout the business.



1 Deliver the Company's Internal Communications plans, including crisis communications.
2 Support the development and strengthening of relationships with key stakeholders (including partners, colleagues, and the local communities).
3 To be responsible for writing, editing and proof-reading copy for all corporate communication platforms, ensuring a consistent and audience-appropriate tone of voice
4 To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of staff and stakeholder communications and provide reports and recommendations based on the results.
5 Provide communications guidance to other departments of GMI, maintaining brand consistency.
6 Provide communications advice and guidance to support externally facing and corporate events including business, community and research-led events.
7 Champion activities to promote public relations, corporate events and any internal charity events to promote Diversity and Inclusivity.
8 Participate in the general activities of the People & Culture communications and any recruitment requirement, supporting the HR and L&D functions as required.

* Autonomous but also work well in a team.
* Shows initiative and enthusiasm.
* Good organisational skills and time management.

Key Skills/Experience Required

* Excellent IT skills, including all Microsoft Office.
* Excellent communication skills: ability to understand and explain complex issues over the phone or via email.
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Degree in PR, Marketing, English, communications, or copy writing experience.
* Clear and confident communication, both verbal and written
