Communications and Content Officer

Day rate: £140 - £160
Contract length: 3 - 6 months

Your new role
For this role you will help engage residents and other stakeholders in the council's safe streets programme through the development and delivery of creative and high quality content across a range of on and offline channels. This will require you to juggle multiple projects, deliver high quality, engaging content and campaigns on time and on message. Working across digital and traditional channels including social media, print publications and their corporate website, you will help the borough create compelling content about the work they are doing to create friendly streets.

What you'll need to succeed

* Experience working in Local Government and other complex organisations
* Previously worked as a Communications/Content Officer
* Proven experience creating content on a variety of different communication channels
* Experience working in a large communications team
* Good understanding of how to evaluate different communications techniques
* Ability to develop positive working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
* Ability to accurately summarise and convey complex information to a diverse audience
