My client are looking to appoint an Assistant Principle Designer to join their 50 strong practice in the Birmingham area.

They are looking to expand their Principal Designer team, and hire a junior/intermediate level Principal Designer to assist their senior Principal Designer and potentially have the responsibility to look after their own projects depending on experience. Key points in terms of a job description:  

  • Not required but NEBOSH Construction Certificate or similar an advantage
  • Accredited membership of APS
  • Have knowledge of the CDM Regs
  • Have a professional subscription to a H&S accredited body such as IOSH or IIRSM
  • The job entails regular site visits, therefore a driving license is a requirement (we have office pools cars if required).
They are all currently working from home, but are aiming to get people back in the office as the restrictions start to ease. They have noticed that, that remote working can be very productive and so are currently working out a policy to accommodate individuals that would prefer to work from home, or at least have a balance between home and office working.
