Your new company
The digital department is a cross-functional digital unit which leads of design, adoption and implementation of digital solutions within the organisation. The department focuses on delivering digital solutions as part of a wide and ambitious programme of work, supporting a range of strategic initiatives from transformational projects to core business activities.
The group consists of Software Engineering, UI development, Test, Web Operations and Programme planning functions, and supports a range of websites, applications and tools which deliver value for the business.
Your new role
As Head of Digital Delivery, you will be responsible for leading on digital decisions to ensure that all digital aspects of the organisation's activity are delivered effectively. As one of 4 Heads of Department, you will also play a key role in the successful delivery of the Marketing Strategy, ensuring that digital assets deliver an optimal customer seasonal and regional spread of visitors across Scotland.
This organisation is going through a digital transformation programme, to move their digital assets from Good to Great to World Class. You will join the team at an exciting and challenging time, requiring the skills to deliver and shape future phases of their digital roadmap. You will be responsible for providing strategic vision for the design, development and support of the organisation's digital estate. Responsible for implementing best practice digital approaches to ensure robust, secure, compliant and scalable solutions are developed.
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in leading multi-discipline teams at senior level. Excellent ability to communication concisely, both written and verbal, making complex digital issues understood by stakeholders across the organisation. Strong technical skills and experience in selecting and working with digital technologies and cloud-based solutions. An excellent understanding of digital technologies in the areas of content management, web services, enterprise websites, database systems.
Understanding of best practice testing approaches (Junit and JMeter. Also, an understanding of digital marketing areas including analytics, SEO, UX and Email. You will also need the initiative and drive to understand current and future technology trends and directions, and their application.
