Head of Communications, Cambridge -

up to £60,000 plus profit share (part time option available)

The Company:

So, this one is a bit special…

The business is working at the forefront of technology that, if deployed, could benefit every single inhabitant of this planet.

The technology ‘product’ is sustainability based at its core, and a passion for the environment is absolutely essential for this one.

They’re a technology start up, who are going through really rapid growth. They’ve already received a sizeable amount of funding in the last six months and are set to be one of the emerging Cambridge success stories over the course of 2021, given the rather chunky investment they’ve received from other global giants.

The company is ‘going places’ and it’s a workplace with passion, conscience and ethics at it’s very core.

The role:

Reporting into their CEO, your key responsibilities will include managing and developing the marketing communications function, from its infancy. You’ll be managing budgets for the department, ensuring campaigns are managed and delivered to the agreed standard, preparing reports and much more.

The role is all encompassing and will pull on all comms skills developed over your career so far… PR, media liaison, comms campaigns, social… and everything else you’d want to ‘bring to the table’.

You will be a key member of that senior team so the natural ability to build strong relationships internally and externally is absolutely essential.

Because of the nature of the business, they’re absolutely in need of someone with a strong technical background, a long with a minimum of five years in comms, ideally at a senior level.

What is in it for you:

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced communications professional to join an emerging organisation, at a really exciting crossroads in their journey. The role will come with the ability to work flexibly both from home and the office in Cambridge. The role also comes with share options, which ensures all employees are bought into their journey and where they’re headed as an organisation!

Due to the location of the Cambridge office, this role could be of interest to those living in Cambridge, Ely, Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill, Newmarket, Saffron Walden, Royston, St Neots, Peterborough, Baldock, Stevenage, Letchworth and Huntingdon.

For registration purposes please could you let us know where you are currently based or which locations you are considering as well as your required salary and notice period.

Please upload a Microsoft Word version of your CV where possible, excluding textboxes or images, as this can affect the consultant's job matching process and therefore your details may not be picked up for a role.
