Product Owner - eCommerce

My client are a leading technology organisation in Surrey developing an eCommerce solution with a launch ambition for 2 markets in September 2021.
Your new role
My client have been developing their proposition and requirements over the last 6 months and are now entering the stage where they will start to build the e-commerce solution. For the solution to meet business requirements effectively and deliver on plan, a key area is how they manage business & user requirements, and work very closely with partners to ensure that the right solution is delivered.
The solution will be built using 'Agile' project methodology, meaning development will take place in a number of sprints, each encompassing detailed requirements definition, design, UX, build and testing. As Product Owner you will gain in depth knowledge of the proposition, requirements, target customers, customer personas, journeys and experience ambitions to champion user requirements (& business needs) during development.
You will:
* Relate back any system requirements / design & priority changes to the target experience & journeys & business operations and assess / quantify the impact
* Be the owner and guardian of the business requirements & protector of the customer experience & journeys (ensuring that the Value Proposition holds and does not deviate)
* Make decisions on detailed scoping & design during the development process
What you'll need to succeed
* Previous experience as a digital Product Owner - ideally in eCommerce
* Strong attention to detail is critical
* Ability to communicate and build relationships effectively across all levels of the organisation
* Ideally, business analysis experience, processes & documentation
* IT savvy, strong in Excel, PowerPoint & ideally Visio / mind mapping tools, experience of learning new tools and adapting quickly

You will be employed on a 6 month contract, with the ability to work remotely (some occasional travel to Surrey offices may be required in future). You will receive a negotiable daily rate depending on experience.
