Social Media Manager opportunity with CITB in Peterborough

CITB are looking for a social media manager with a gift for communicating messages in a lively, creative and engaging way.

At CITB, they are tackling some of the biggest skills issues of the day, from housing and infrastructure to inspiring young people to join the construction industry. They need someone who is equally adept at creating content strategies which engage their partners in industry and government, as well as shareable careers content for young people on our Go Construct platform.

The successful candidate will be able to develop their social media networks so they have meaningful two-way conversations with their customers. With Britain leaving the EU on 31 December 2020, this is an exciting and varied role which will make a difference to construction employers across Great Britain.

They are looking to recruit an experienced Social Media Manager within their Communications team and you will report to the Communications Manager. You will be supported in your role by a Communications Executive.

To succeed in this role, you will:

1. Help them determine the appropriate social media activity to best deliver against communication objectives
2. Maintain the social media strategy, effectively aligning and integrating with CITB's communications strategy
3. Act as professional lead for social media across CITB.
4. Build effective relationships with colleagues across CITB to deliver effective procedures to identify and deliver information required for social media content on priority CITB issues

They are looking for a candidate with:


* Experience in leading the initial design, development, execution, optimisation and analytics of a social media strategy/campaign
* Expert knowledge of creating engaging content for social media channels
* Ability to effectively and confidently communicate with people at all levels both internally and externally
