Digital Content Manager To start ASAP -FTC until the end of March 31st, 2021 -with the possibility of extension Circa £45,000 pr. Interviews will be held on the afternoons of the 27th November remotely with a view to starting ASAP-subject to compliance checks.

We are looking for a talented and passionate Digital Content Manager, with skills in creating web and social media content and WordPress development, who can support our existing B2B digital platforms and channels and help us identify new opportunities to reach diverse audiences. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience of building websites and creating content to work within a great team and support a range projects.

Key Accountabilities

* Understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements with a focus on WordPress platform, ensuring high levels of support, engagement and action from target audiences
* Designing new user-centred content in support of defined business priorities, based on strategic communications and focusing on key audiences
* Refine website information architecture to optimise user journeys
* Monitor, evaluate and report on the performance and effectiveness of the website, content and social strategies
* Design and implement new features and functionality.
* Develop web applications/pages using current CSS3, PHP and HTML5 standards.
* Provide technical and creative advice during product development stages
* Identify and troubleshoot WordPress issues quickly
* Possess expert knowledge and capabilities of creating WordPress custom themes and plugins
* Create websites and web applications for a variety of requirements
* Editing and designing template graphics and videos in Adobe Creative Suite within brand guidelines
* Publish content to internal audiences using Microsoft SharePoint
* Test functionality of websites in various browsers for quality assurance
* Ability to communicate and work constructively with team members
* Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities within strict time constraints
* Extreme attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
* Support colleagues in taking forwards B2B digital, content and SEO strategies and operational plans such as website platform migration.
* Carry out optimisation work, co-ordinating, prioritising and planning using content design approaches, A/B testing, user testing and other tools and sources of insight.
* Work with subject matter experts and communications colleagues to deliver compelling and actionable content across all channels as required (e-mail, web, video, social media).
* Working with digital team members to ensure that the web site design and operation reflects the brand and ensuring that all tools, design activity and templates meet usability testing and relevant standards.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the below: -

* Significant expertise in working in content rich web environments with a deep appreciation of web based customer journey mapping.
* Experience of Search engine optimisation (SEO), Google analytics and social media monitoring tools.
* Well versed in accessibility guidelines e.g. WCAG to AA 2.1
* Minimum of four years' experience working with WordPress or similar.
* Has expert knowledge and experience with WordPress (Plugin / Theme Development / API / Configuration / Advanced Custom Fields) (code WordPress themes and plugins from scratch)
* Has strong general development skills
* Experience with popular frameworks and languages such as PHP, HTML, CSS & JavaScript
* Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc
* Experience building complex, responsive, high-traffic websites with WordPress and custom PHP
* Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
* Strong front end skills including solid experience with PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript & jQuery
* Understanding of W3C standards and general design principles
* Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
* Knowledge of primary SEO elements
* Understanding of best practices for user experience
* Template and component design systems
* Adobe Creative suite competency
* To have resilience as well as confidence to establish expertise as well as help drive multiple projects through to their completion in a fast-paced environment.
