Your new company
My client are a well-known multinational corporation whose diversified business includes consumer and professional electronics, gaming, entertainment, and financial services. Due to a high workload we are seeking a Media & Campaigns Specialist to join the team on an initial 12 month contract.

Your new role
Working as part of the in-house Campaigns team, you will advise the media buying agency on the campaign channels to utilise for specific campaigns that are being planned by the team off the back of product launches etc.
This team looks at the advertising budget held by the Product Managers from a media channels perspective, so you will need to know the ins and outs of each media channel use, why choose particular format, why the different formats, as well as targeting/optimisation they should make when buying to reach a particular audience depending on the goal. You will make suggestions on where it's going to be seen and advise the best combination of media channels and provide in-depth explanations to stakeholders such as reach, action, retargeting, brand awareness etc., as well as how to convert indicators through online behaviours and what action to take. You will advise on what Media to buy and brief the media agency about what you want to do - it's up to the agency to then put together a media plan, which you and the team will then review and have it ready to put in front of the stakeholders to get the approval for campaign execution.

You will then be working closely with the agency; tracking, measuring return, adjustments and checking everything is running as it should when the campaign goes live and reporting back to the stakeholders to ensure campaign success and ROI.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have worked for a Media agency or have in-depth knowledge of the Media Buying process. You must have this knowledge to strategically plan and critically evaluate the work of your agency partners, as well as having knowledge of a range of Digital Marketing channels including search, social media, or display & VOD (or across multiple channels provided digital is included in some form i.e. not only press / radio / TV). Main media channels they use are digital and social: Facebook, Instagram, display, VOD, search with some work on TV, OOH and Print - so knowledge of these channels is preferred.

You will need to be able to crunch numbers - the role gets a lot of data in Excel form and you need to analyse it and then make recommendations on what channels to use. Therefore a competency with Excel and data analysis is required. You will also have confidence and good communication skills to pitch, present and manage stakeholders including third parties.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a daily rate of up to £200 per day (depending on experience and negotiable for the right applicant.) You will work with one of the world's leading technology brands at their offices in Weybridge with great facilities. Due to the ongoing pandemic, flexible working options are available.
