The Marketing and Business Development team of a hugely entrepreneurial law firm are seeking a Business Development Executive on a permanent basis to work closely with the Corporate and M&A, Commercial and Competition practices.

Joining an independent London-based law firm with a high profile client base from around the world, the successful candidate will be filling a new role required to provide additional marketing and business development support to the corporate and M&A, commercial and competition practices. The Business Development Executive will enjoy a broad role covering a wide range of business development and marketing disciplines and will have the opportunity to work with the Head of Business Development on key projects as well as lead on some of the day-to-day activities the groups undertake to support their practice plans. You will help create the practice development and marketing plans and must provide strong project management in the implementation of these plans, ensuring activities are carried out to time and budget. Key BD duties will include leading on the credentials capture process and running the league table submission process, working alongside the Pitch Executive to provide support to pitch activity, carrying out market research and supporting on client mapping exercises. On the marketing side, the role holder will support profile raising initiatives, work with the marketing communications team to implement practice-wide marketing campaigns, collaborate with the events team on the preparation of seminars and client events, support partners in the preparation of directory and award submissions and work with partners and designated fee-earners, online and offline, on the development and production of all practice area materials in line with the brand guidelines ensuring key messages are effectively communicated.

The ideal candidate will be a bright graduate or equivalent with previous marketing and BD experience gained in a legal or professional services firm. The Business Development Executive will be proactive and tenacious and will possess excellent written and verbal communication and a strong ability to liaise at partner level. An understanding or keen a desire to learn about the Corporate and M&A, Commercial and Competition practice areas is also prerequisite.
