You will serve as the project manager for significant pitch and proposal presentation opportunities led by lawyers in the firm's EMEA offices, from opportunity identification through to project delivery. The Pitch Manager will be expected to work closely with lawyers and members of the BD & Marketing team to ensure that relevant materials are high-quality, strategic, reflective of best practices in the marketplace and appropriately differentiated from those of the firm's competitors. Reporting on pitch and proposal activity and performance within EMEA, you will manage workflow of EMEA bid opportunities among proposal support colleagues and lead bid planning meetings to establish win themes, competitive strategy, proposition development and commercial approach. You will be expected to draft, edit and produce proposals, pitch presentations and other related technical and commercial material associated with the bid process and provide strategic thinking and ideas on structuring, managing and enhancing the firm's proposal and pitch approach. The successful candidate must ensure all lawyers responding to formal requests for proposals or generating similar materials benefit from strategic research, analytical thinking, skilled writing and efficient production resources. Rehearsing and coaching bid teams in preparation for formal presentations and associated meetings will represent a crucial element of this challenging role. You will also collaborate with global BD & Marketing colleagues and other key stakeholders in the department on shared projects and areas of responsibility such as proposal process and strategy, and client research and analysis.

You will possess an undergraduate degree or equivalent, preferably in a marketing, business, research or communications-related field, and have demonstrated success in a business development or marketing related position that involved proposal writing for legal services or in a comparable position in the professional services environment. The Pitch Manager will be a creative thinker, willing to present new ideas and approaches, and a self-starter with enthusiasm, tenacity and stamina. The ideal candidate will also possess exceptional project management skills and a strong ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and to manage numerous competing priorities.
